Businesses who request new listings (or substantial changes to existing listings) and who link back to the MBIG main page will receive that listing free of charge provided they have placed an MBIG Logo and return link back to the MBIG Web Site. Businesses who elect not to link back will be charged a $25 set-up fee for that listing. Your MBIG link will not be placed until either the $25 link fee is received or we receive your email notification with URL address where the MBIG Logo and return link may be found on your site (see below).

The benefits of linking to the Madison Business Internet Guide:
The "connected" icon will be listed after the name of sites listed in the MBIG when they have a verified and approved link to the MBIG main page at our URL (http://www.madbiz.com) To be verified, the URL of the home page (and the page with the link to MBIG on it, if different) must be emailed to us. To be approved, the link should not imply an endorsement or approval by MBIG or ABC, or otherwise be presented in a manner inconsistent with the copyright-holder's wishes. The "connected" icon isn't an endorsement or award, it's just our way of encouraging mutual links between Internet sites to lead to a more integrated Internet environment and more traffic back to your site. That may not seem like much, but it makes your site on MBIG more visible to visitors and search engines, and encourages nettiquette.
Sites that do not qualify to be listed in MBIG (non-local sites, personal pages) can still link to MBIG or other abcon.com sites if the normal restrictions, if any, are followed. Time and space permitting, we will put together a page that lists all such pages that link to us.
How to use the Madison Business Internet Guide logo:
This graphic can be downloaded and used on other web sites, by following these simple directions.
Put the button on your page as you would any other graphic, preferably on your home page, a links page, or where you have other graphics of similar nature. The button must be linked to the MBIG page (http://www.madbiz.com).The border on the graphic indicating that it is a link should be set to 0 pixels, as in this example.
The graphic is in GIF format and weighs in at less than 2.5 K. To download it, use the regular routine. On a Windows-based machine, hold the right mouse button down over the graphic and choose Save Image As... or Download Image to Disk... On a Macintosh, click and hold the mouse button down over the graphic and choose Save this image as... or Download Image to Disk...
There should be no wording on the page that would indicate that the page in question is endorsed or approved by the Madison Business Internet Guide (unless the site was given a smiley icon, in which case you can say it was "called a nice site" or "given a smiley icon" by MBIG, if you feel like it) or ABC. The reference can say "Listed on the Madison Business Internet Guide" or "Take a look at the Madison Business Internet Guide" or something along those lines. Or you can simply skip all reference to it and just put it on your page.
We must also be informed that the logo will be used. For general use, an email message with the URL address of the site is sufficient. If it is not on the main home page of the site, you should send the address of the home page as well the page that the logo is on for verification purposes.
Other ABC site logos:
There are a series of logos of varying designs that indicate that Associated Business Consultants provided some level of Internet service. The "Sponsored by" logo is for sites that ABC has put on-line for non-profit organizations or some other public service.
